Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Ziptask, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, do not use the service.

Account terms

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Ziptask cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain account security.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not use Ziptask if you are under 13 years of age.
• You must be a human. Accounts registered by automated methods are not permitted.

Acceptable use

You may not use Ziptask to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm any person
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its related systems
• Scrape or harvest data from the service without our written permission
• Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity

Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Ziptask — your task lists, items, descriptions, and uploaded files are yours. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the service to you and your team.

We will never sell your content or use it to train AI models. We access your content only when required to provide support or when legally compelled to do so.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance, make updates, or address issues that temporarily affect availability. We will endeavor to provide advance notice of planned downtime when possible.

Payment

Ziptask currently offers free access. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will provide clear notice of pricing and terms before any charges apply. You will always have the option to cancel before being charged.

Termination

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Upon cancellation, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. In cases of serious violations we may act immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you and explain the reason for termination.

Disclaimer of warranties

Ziptask is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ziptask and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Michigan.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice in the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Ziptask after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect.
